The SE 5000-160-8 pump and the unit based on it are designed for pumping water in heating networks. The water must not contain solid particles larger than 0.2 mm and with a concentration exceeding 5 mg/l.

The pumps are manufactured in UHL climate version — intended for macroclimatic regions with moderate and cold climates, placement category 4 — operation in rooms (volumes) with artificially controlled climatic conditions according to GOST 15150-69.

  • Horizontal configuration, providing high vibration resistance, reducing shaft misalignment, and increasing component service life
  • Spiral type with a horizontal split plane passing through the pump axis, ensuring high maintainability, easy service, and installation. Inlet and discharge nozzles located at the bottom allow assembly/disassembly without disconnecting pipelines
  • Single-stage with a double-entry impeller made of two halves
  • Pump casing is a complex cast iron casting in two parts (pump cover and pump body) with semi-spiral suction and double-spiral discharge channels. The lower casing includes inlet and outlet nozzles, support feet, trough-shaped leak collection brackets, and bearing mounts. Support feet are close to the pump axis to reduce misalignment from heating. Two pins fix the casing relative to the foundation frame for controlled thermal expansion
  • Rotor is a separate assembly unit consisting of the shaft, double-entry impeller in two halves, bushings, bearings, and pump half-coupling. Axial movements are fixed with bushings and round nuts. Thermal gaps compensate for expansion
  • Rotor is axially unloaded using a double-entry impeller
  • Rotor supported by external sliding bearings: drive-side bearing handles radial loads; the other bearing (sliding plus two single-row angular contact ball bearings) handles radial and residual axial loads. Forced lubrication via individual oil supply or centralized system
  • Mechanical seals – gland type with a sealing ring. Cooling chamber and ports provide pressurized cooling fluid and prevent air ingress
  • Torque transmission from motor to pump via gear coupling
