PUMP D 3200-33-2

PUMP D 3200-33-2 — a horizontal, single-stage, double-suction centrifugal pump designed for pumping water and liquids with properties similar to water. This model is engineered for very high flow rates at relatively low pressure heads, making it commonly used in pumping stations and water supply systems.

APPLICATIONS OF PUMP D 3200-33-2

Pump D 3200-33-2 is typically used where very large volumes of water need to be pumped at medium or low pressure. Typical industries and applications:

  • Water Supply and Utilities → Urban/regional pumping stations, transfer of water between reservoirs, boosting pressure in mains.
  • Energy Sector (CHP plants, boiler houses, industrial power units) → Circulation and supply of technical water, cooling systems (circulation/recycled water).
  • General Industry → Technological water circuits, recirculating water supply, pumping within production areas and between facilities.
  • Metallurgy and Mining/Processing Plants → Recycled water systems, equipment cooling, pumping technical water (if water quality meets impurity requirements).
  • Chemical and Petrochemical Industry → Pumping neutral liquids and technical water in infrastructure circuits (non-aggressive media depending on construction materials).
  • Agriculture and Irrigation → Irrigation, water supply for large areas, pumping in channels and pumping stations.
  • Firefighting Water Supply for Large Facilities → Filling tanks and water circuits where high flow is required (specific use depends on project and reliability requirements).
  • Construction and Infrastructure Projects → Temporary pumping stations, water transfer for hydraulic structures (per project specifications).

CONSTRUCTION FEATURES OF PUMP D 3200-33-2

  • Horizontal design → Mounted on a foundation/frame; convenient for maintenance and repair.
  • Single-stage centrifugal scheme → Simple and reliable for high-volume water transfer.
  • Double-suction (two-flow) inlet → Reduces axial load, improves stability at high flow rates, minimizes risk of cavitation under proper suction conditions.
  • Split casing (typically horizontal) → Allows inspection and repair of the impeller and internal parts without disconnecting suction/discharge pipelines.
  • Double-suction impeller → Provides high flow and more even flow distribution.
  • Shaft sealing → Can be either gland (stuffing box) or mechanical seal depending on tightness requirements and operating mode.
  • Bearings/supports → Designed for long continuous operation; ensure stable shaft operation at specified RPM.
  • Motor-driven via coupling → Standard for industrial pump units; simplifies alignment and maintenance.
  • Materials → Typically cast iron for water and neutral media; other materials available on request or per operating conditions.

PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS

This is the performance chart (nameplate curves) for pumps of the series D 3200-33-2-C / D 3200-33a-2-C / D 3200-336-2-C.

It shows how the main parameters vary depending on flow rate Q (m³/h):

  • H, m — Pump head (head curves)
  • η, % — Efficiency (efficiency curves)
  • N, kW — Power consumption (power curves)
  • NPSHr, m — Required net positive suction head (suction conditions)

The “operating range” is also indicated — the range of flow rates in which the pump is recommended to operate (the optimal and stable working zone).
