APPLICATION OF PUMP D 3200-75-2
The D 3200-75-2 pump belongs to the general-purpose pump group and is designed for pumping water and liquids with properties similar to water in terms of viscosity and chemical activity, at temperatures up to 85 °C, containing solid particles not exceeding 0.05% by mass, with a maximum particle size of 0.2 mm and microhardness not exceeding 6.5 MPa (650 kgf/mm²). It is suitable for use in various industries, agriculture, heating and water supply systems of municipal utilities, and other applications.
Technical Characteristics
Nominal parameters of the D 3200-75-2 pump and its variants depend on the impeller outer diameter and rotational speed.
This is an important parameter to consider when designing the external network (piping and fittings) and selecting pump equipment.
Overall dimensions and weight of the D 3200-75-2 pump and its variants also depend on the impeller outer diameter and rotational speed.
Drive options: synchronous and asynchronous three-phase electric motors are used, depending on the impeller diameter and rotational speed.
Overall system efficiency (η): ranges from 83% to 85%.
Main Requirements for Pump Design
- High reliability and cost-effectiveness
- Extended operational range via impeller trimming and variable rotational speed
- Long service life — average time to major overhaul at least 45,000 hours (with proper maintenance)
- Dynamic stability across all operating modes
- Stable, continuously decreasing head curve for reliable operation in parallel pump installations
- Proper material selection for main components to ensure required service life
- High degree of standardization
- Ease of assembly, disassembly, maintenance, and high repairability
Design Features of D 3200-75-2 Pump
- Horizontal design: ensures high vibration resistance, reduces shaft misalignment risk, and increases component lifespan
- Volute type with horizontal split along the pump axis: facilitates maintenance, installation, and operation; suction and discharge nozzles at the bottom allow pump assembly/disassembly without disconnecting pipelines
- Single-stage with double-suction impeller
- Pump casing: complex cast iron construction, consisting of two parts (upper — pump cover, lower — pump body) with semi-spiral inlet and spiral outlet channels; suction and discharge nozzles, support feet, and leak collection brackets are integrated
- Rotor assembly: includes shaft, impeller, inlet and protective sleeves, bearings, fasteners, and half-coupling; axial displacement of the impeller is fixed by inlet and protective sleeves with round nuts
- Double-suction impeller reduces axial load on the rotor and improves cavitation characteristics
- Rotor bearings: external rolling bearings; drive side — single-row radial ball bearing (radial loads), opposite side — single-row radial ball bearing (radial and residual axial loads); grease-lubricated, air-cooled
- Seals: stuffing-box type with hydraulic seal; sealing liquid supplied to the seal’s hydraulic ring
- Torque transmission: flexible sleeve-pin coupling from motor to pump
Dimensional and Mounting Information

Drawings show the overall and connection dimensions of the D 3200-75-2 pump and pump unit (pump + electric motor on base). They include:
- Main dimensions and connection sizes of nozzles and flanges
- Installation dimensions on the base — center-to-center distances, support positioning, and fastening holes for proper mounting on foundation/frame
All dimensions comply with the technical passport and are used for pipeline design, foundation preparation, and pump unit installation.

GRAPHICAL CHARACTERISTICS
The graph shown in the technical passport of the D3200-75-2 pump illustrates its operating range and the design (operating) point. The operating range indicates the recommended flow range in which the pump works most stably and efficiently (with optimal efficiency and permissible loads). The operating point represents the nominal operating mode — the combination of flow and head for which the electric motor and system parameters are selected.
