PE pumps by design are horizontal, centrifugal, multistage, sectional. Axial forces of the rotors are relieved by means of a hydraulic thrust bearing. End seals of the rotors are mechanical or stuffing box. The supports of the rotors are remote sliding bearings with forced or ring lubrication. Torque from the motor to the pump is transmitted through a gear coupling.
